"Student Art Matters" Exhibit at the Cedarburg Art Museum

"Student Art Matters" Exhibit at the Cedarburg Art Museum

Student Art Matters (SAM) is an biennial exhibition honoring the life and legacy of Shelby Austin, a Cedarburg High School student whose life was tragically cut short in a car accident in 2001. Shelby had a deep love for art and for life, and this program celebrates her spirit by encouraging creativity and recognizing artistic achievement among students.

This exhibition features artwork by students in grades K–12 from across Ozaukee County and represents the Cedarburg Art Museum’s largest student exhibition to date.

Through the continued support of Mel’s Charities, student artwork is suitably installed in frames or mounted on pedestals, allowing student artists to see their creations presented in a museum setting.

Exhibition Reception: Saturday, January 17 | 2–4 PM
